Ag Research Award

The Purdue Agricultural Research Award is our highest honor given to mid-career faculty members—those with less than 18 years experience beyond the Ph.D.—for excellence in applying scientific principles to solve important research problems. Recipients have, through their research, made significant contributions to agriculture, natural resources, and the quality of life of Indiana citizens. 

2021 Award Winner​​

Tomas Höök, professor of forestry and natural resources received the 2020 Agriculture Research Award for his research into fish and fisheries ecology in the Laurentian Great Lakes and leading the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant.  Read more

Songlin Fei, professor of forestry and natural resources received the 2020 Agriculture Research Award for his research into critical ecological problems and leadership of the integrated Digital Forestry initiative.  Read more

Ian Kaplan, professor of entomology received the 2019 Agriculture Research Award for his research contributing to understanding interactions between pests, predators, parasitoids and pollinators.  Read More

Maria (“Marisol”) Sepúlveda, professor of ecology and natural systems and associate head of research for the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources received the 2018 Agriculture Research Award for her research examining the non-lethal effects of contaminants in the environment.  Read More

Mary Catherine Aime, professor of botany and plant pathology at Purdue University, received the 2017 Agriculture Research Award for her study of fungi in tropical forests worldwide​. Read More​
