 General Information

Jeff Sanson is the Executive Director of the Indiana Council for Economic Education (ICEE). In this position, he leads K-12 outreach and engagement activities for the Department of Agricultural Economics and works with a network of 11 university centers for economics education located throughout Indiana. Each year the ICEE network promotes and supports learning opportunities in economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship for K-12 students across Indiana.  These activities help students to be engaged as citizens and  informed members of our economy by providing them with the ability to make sound economic and financial decisions in their roles as consumers, producers, savers, investors, voters and leaders.  ICEE accomplishes this by working in partnership with teachers, higher education, government, businesses, and nonprofits to provide engaging workshops, resource materials, and instructional strategies to K-12 teachers and youth educators.

Jeff holds a BA in Social Studies Education and a MS.Ed in Educational Studies (International Education) from Purdue University. His professional interests include the design of distance learning environments for teacher professional development and technology integration in economics and social studies. Jeff has designed and developed an online professional development course on teaching personal finance. He has also made numerous presentations to K-12 teachers on effective strategies for enhancing instruction with technology in the areas of personal finance and economics.
